                           Helping Others Can Help you     Volunteering has a meaningful, positive effect on your life. But did you know that it can have many benefits for you, too? 

To begin with, volunteering enables you to gain some valuable life experience as well as work skills, which I think lays a solid foundation for your future study or career. In the meantime, by volunteering, you can make friends with people from all walks of life, from whom you can obtain useful knowledge that can’t be learnt at school. In addition, volunteering provides you with a good opportunity to give back to society and break down barriers of understanding, and thus a harmonious society can be created.

As far as I’m concerned, volunteering is a good way for us to build self-esteem and self-confidence, too. Also, when offering others help, we ourselves will have a sense of satisfaction. Therefore, volunteering is of great benefit not only to others but also to ourselves.
